Avram Grant has told Ghanaians
to “concentrate on the football and not the ‘bull***t” if the country
wants to be great at football.
The Israeli has been under
intense pressure over his recent freequent travels and and ‘unauthorised
monitoring” and been criticised at the highest level including the sports
ministry.
He clearly sought to hit back at some of those criticism after a 3-1 win
over Mozambique at the Accra Sports Stadium that takes Ghana to within
touching distance of a seventh straight appearance at the Nations Cup.
He said:
“If this Nation will concentrate on the football and not the bull***t,
and just the football because there is a lot of passion, we can reach
higher, high level. It is a long term target but it achievable.”
Grant who has claimed in the past that he has saved Ghana football will
now take his side to Maputo for the return leg with one foot in the
final.
